Represent – Showing Support

The Represent Crew are known around Sydney for their parties with absolutely the biggest line-ups around, not to mention their dedication to a variety of causes. Represent 3 sees an even bigger list of DJs, MCs and performers show their support for the victims of the recent tsunami disaster.

Saturday 29th January is the date and Candy’s Apartment is the place, so get down to catch some of the finest musical talent on offer in one night anywhere – and don’t be afraid to throw a few dollars into the hat to support those in need.

REPRESENT 3 – The Tsunami Relief Festival

THE CREW
The concept for ‘REPRESENT’ Events was born out of the need to give back to the community – through charity fundraising dance events – with a specific focus on young people, with the central theme being ‘Youth helping Youth’. The ‘REPRESENT’ Crew aren’t scared to look at problems facing us today – bringing forth awareness, and raising badly needed funds for various charity organisations, in need of a dollar or two…A typical ‘REPRESENT’ Event pulls no punches, and aims to keep the focus firmly on highlighting & pinpointing the relevant issues at hand, in the spirit of positivity, collaboration, and inspiration…

THE CONCEPT
The ‘REPRESENT Crew have gone one up on their last event by bringing 30 DJ’s and 10 MC’s together – for one night, under one roof…‘The Tsunami Relief Festival’ tops last boxing days ‘REPRESENT’ 2, by an extra 10 artists, (which include DJ’s and MC’s); & hosts three genres, compared with the former event – which held a firm focus strictly on Drum & Bass. This time, Breaks, Hip Hop, & 2 Step genres will be the predominant beats featured at the festival.

THE CHARITY
Proceeds will go to ‘Save The Children’ – who are accepting donations to help provide aid to stricken areas devastated by the Tsunami, and assist with the rehabilitation of child survivors – their families and communities, after the tragedy.
