All the styles you will love will be repped in the one night by hand picked djs to cover every style of jungle from hard and ruff to smooth and jazzy, old and new. $10 on door to cover our big sound install which ya’ll have heard at our last couple of gigs. PLUS +++ TRACKER JUNGLE WORKSHOP will run before the gig at same venue from 630pm – 8pm.
Hedonist (Bloody Fist/Speedcomp), Melt Unit (Cock Rock Disco/Suck Puck/200+) and DF0:BAD (200+/Gastric Acid) take you through the basics of how to make jungle music with Trackers. Trackers were amongst the original software used when jungle was born, and offer unmatched control and manipulation of breakbeats, adding a unique sound to modern productions.
In this one hour workshop you will learn the basics of how Trackers work using Renoise. Then break down classic tracker-based tunes, and learn how to cut up and sequence breakbeats and some of the original samples that form the foundation of this style. Some laptops provided but please BYO laptop with Renoise (demo) installed and also headphones.
